Refurbished open plan kitchen and dining space in a period house

Our Services

Home Refurbishments

Whole house refurbishments: structural alterations, rewiring, replumbing, new heating, insulation, kitchens and bathrooms as part of the wider works.

Discuss a Project

Refurbishment is where hidden problems live. Our approach is to open up early, price honestly and keep a contingency you can see, rather than a low price that grows every week.

How It Works

  1. 01

    Survey and Open Up

We look behind the surfaces first, so the price reflects the building you actually have.

  2. 02

    Proposal

Room by room scope, cost breakdown, programme and a visible contingency.

  3. 03

    Strip Out and Rebuild

Structure, services, insulation and finishes in the right order, under one contractor.

  4. 04

    Handover

Certificates for the electrics and Building Control, and a house that works as one system.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you fit kitchens and bathrooms?
Yes, as part of a wider refurbishment. We do not take on standalone kitchen or bathroom fits, but within a refurbishment we handle the strip out, first fix, installation and finishes as one coordinated job.
What does a refurbishment cost?
Structural alterations, rewiring, replumbing and the standard of finish drive the number, so we price from a room by room scope. You get a clear breakdown with the proposal, and a contingency you can see.
Can you work on listed buildings and older properties?
Yes. Much of the housing in East Sussex is Victorian or older, and we are used to working with solid walls, lime plaster, timber frames and listed building consent where it applies.
How disruptive is a refurbishment?
A whole house refurbishment usually means moving out for part of the programme. We tell you up front which phases the house will be uninhabitable for, so you can plan around it rather than find out mid build.
